Whether your pet has been in an accident, is dealing with a serious illness, or just “seems off,” we’re standing by to provide your furry family member with compassionate and expert medical care. Because we specialize in pet health emergencies, we are able to give our full attention to stabilizing your pet, diagnosing the problem, and beginning lifesaving treatment. We also have North Dakota’s only board-certified emergency and critical care specialist on staff for complex and severely critical cases. We are proud to be the region’s top-rated pet emergency facility, providing care for your beloved pet when your regular veterinarian can’t.

We’ll Work Closely with Your Primary Vet

Once your pet is able to return home, we will refer you back to your own veterinarian for continued care, supplying them with all of the information we have gathered about your pet’s situation, plus the procedures and treatments we performed.

Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center is proud to have a full service in-house lab which is capable of running all routine bloodwork (CBC and chem panels), as well as performing specialized testing for such things as ethylene glycol (anti-freeze) testing, blood gas analysis, canine and feline pancreatitis screening, coagulation testing (clotting times), Parvovirus, FeLV/FIV and tick-disease screening, and more.
