Emergency, critical care, and specialty medicine can be costly; it's true. The main reasons that RRAEH may cost more than your family veterinary clinic are that we have to provide advanced in-house diagnostics in order to get immediate results: laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan. In addition, we pay our highly skilled team for working nights, holidays, and weekends when no one else is open.
We know that cost of care can be a factor in any decision involving veterinary care for your pet. At Red River Animal Emergency Hospital and Referral Center, we will inform all pet owners of costs for care prior to care being initiated, so there are no ugly surprises. After your pet's examination, one of our trained staff will provide you with a treatment plan, including associated costs, for your pet's individual health plan. At RRAEH, you are in control of your pet's treatment; we promise to provide the level of health care that each owner has chosen.
We do require payment at time of service, which may include a down payment of an estimate if your pet needs to be hospitalized. We accept payment in the form of cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit.
