Dr. Ben Stegman is a native of north eastern North Dakota, and owned a practice in his hometown prior to joining RRAEH in 2013. He completed his undergraduate training at North Dakota State University and then moved to Iowa State University where he received his DVM degree in 2007.
He completed additional training after veterinary school in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture at Colorado State University, and is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management as well as the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Dr. Stegman enjoys all aspects of emergency and critical care medicine, but particularly is interested in pain management, trauma, and acute care.
Dr. Stegman lives on a small farm with his wife and five children where they enjoy raising pure bred Dexter cattle, American Guinea Hogs, Chickens, Gaited horses, and English Shepherds. Dr Stegman’s hobbies include cheesemaking, charcuterie, and playing the guitar and banjo.
